Ray Diagram for Bi-prism experiment

 How to Draw Ray Diagram for Bi-prism experiment ?


     Bi-prism is thin glass prism of obtuse angle 179 0 . The rays of wavelength λ from thin slit passes through bi-prism, produce two virtual sources. These coherent sources produce Interference fringes. The fringe width X is measured using eye-piece of optical bench. 

   Also distance D between source and eye-piece and distance d between coherent sources is measured. 

                By using formula    λ   =  Xd / D

The wavelength λ  of light is determined by using Bi-prism and Optical bench.
